| ÒAndrew S. Martindell was born in Greenbrier County about 1806. He married Susannah Darst, sister of his brotherÕs wife, prior to 1830, and settled in Salem Township, Meigs County, Ohio, where David and his wife were also living at that time. Both families moved back to Addison Township about 1830 and later Andrew moved to Cheshire Township in the same county. In his fatherÕs will he was bequeathed a Ôclose bodied coatÕ, $32 worth of farming utensils and the money that had previously been loaned him. Andrew Martindell died in 1858 leaving a will in which directed that his property got to his wife and surviving children. The children living when he made his will were: (per the 1850 census) Julia Ann b cr 1836 Rachel June b cr. 1830 Lewis Wilson b cr 1832 William Riley b cr 1834 (Sarah) Mahala b cr 1838 Andrew b cr. 1843 Susannah b cr. 1845 Aurelia b cr. 1849 James was not shown on the 1850 census, so I would assume he was born after 1850. | ||||||||||||||||||
